Pilates Chairs
Pilates chairs (also called the “wunda chair” or “low chair”) have always been an integral part of the Pilates exercise and fitness lifestyle. As of late though, Pilates chairs have gotten a more streamlined and technologically advanced look as the product moves more into the mainstream market. Once mysterious and not well known, it is now uncommon to find someone who DOESN’T know what one is!
What a Pilates chair is, basically, is a resistance exercise chair. They’re usually a box with one side that can be pressed down against springs to create resistance. Most Pilates chairs have two different pedals that can be worked independently from one another.
Usually, Pilates chairs are made of wood with padded tops and pedals. The first Pilates chairs that were created actually were also used as furniture for whoever had them in their home and easily converting into the Pilates exercise chair whenever needed.

Pilates Excercise Balls
The Pilates exercise ball is a wonderful tool that will assist you in strengthening your bodies core. Physical therapists have been rumored to be using these things for years as part of their rehabilitation programs and they’ve been doing it for a reason!
The Pilates Ball can help to strengthen your back muscles and your abdomen muscles immensely as well as increasing their overall stability. Just keeping from falling OFF the ball when you try to lay flat on your stomach or back onto it is exercise enough! But that is actually how they were designed and in the grand scheme of things, they’re wonderfully – even geniusly – designed.
