Pilates Balls
Pilates balls are most commonly made out of a very durable rubber (or sometimes plastic) texture and is designed NOT to burst under any normal type circumstances. Although it may not look like it, the Pilates Ball can take some SERIOUS stress, pressure, and most importantly weight. So don’t go thinking if you put all of your weight on it that it will all of a sudden burst on you in the middle of your Pilates studio session. The odds are very good that it’s nearly impossible. So relax!
The Pilates exercise ball is a wonderful tool that will assist you in strengthening your bodies core. Physical therapists have been rumored to be using these things for years as part of their rehabilitation programs and they’ve been doing it for a reason!
The Pilates Ball can help to strengthen your back muscles and your abdomen muscles immensely as well as increasing their overall stability. Just keeping from falling OFF the ball when you try to lay flat on your stomach or back onto it is exercise enough!
